Brake forming is a metal fabrication process used to bend metal sheets to create a desired form. Kam Pin has decades of experience fabricating complex panel designs. Using the latest technology in brake forming, we are a leader in aluminum panel fabrication in Asia.
One the main methods of sheet metal fabrication is brake forming. A press brake machine is used to form a straight axis by pressing a “V” shaped die into a “U” shaped die, bending sheet metal into a required angle. The specified dimensions are keyed into the brake press machine's computer and the operator presses the button to press the “V” shaped die onto the sheet metal and into the “U” shaped die with the appropriate amount of force to bend the sheet metal into a specified angle.
Every metal panel starts from a flat sheet of metal, which is custom ordered from our suppliers for optimal usage. Each panel is bent with our brake press to accurately match a fabrication drawing provided by our clients. Our press brakes can handle almost any flat sheet metal thickness, from 1mm to 10mm. We fabricate your panels according to your requirements.
There are different methods of tackling double curative fabrication. Depending on the complexity of the curvature, some techniques are more complex than others. Our engineering team has the ability to analyze the curvature and know which methods are most suitable to mass-produce the panel’s design.

Our CNC punch and High Speed Turret Punches can punch standard perforations or complex perforation patterns. We carry a wide variety of perforation shapes and sizes. If we don’t have something you need, we can custom order a punch that suits your project. We have completed many jobs with perforation and we are experienced in developing any type of perforation designs you may have.
Limitations & Processes
Perforating does carry some limitations, for instance, the perforation diameter cannot be smaller than the thickness of the panel or else the perforating mold can break. After perforation, there is a process of re-flattening the panels. This is necessary because the panels may be warped after perforation. Our expertise and experience in this fabrication process allows the final product to the best quality.
Roll forming can also help to create unique shaped panels that require straight surfaces and curved surfaces. Our fabrication department can weld together curved and flat surfaces together to create unique panel shapes.
Plate rolling is a fabrication process that shapes a panel into a round or conical shape. Our plate rolling machine can shape panels up to 4 meters (13ft) long and with a minimum radius of 300°. This machine is great for fabricating column covers or cladding with a curved shape.
